New Financials Handbook for Site Administrators

We've just published a brand-new handbook/user manual, designed just for principals, directors, managers, and all department heads. It's called the "Financials for Site Administrators" manual. It contains information on:
  • How to create and run certain kinds of budget reports
  • How to view, manage, and approve eProcurement requisitions
  • How to view, manage, and approve Travel Expenses (Travel Authorizations and Expense Reports)
  • How to find support, both online and in person

This manual is handed out to attendees of the "Financials for Site Administrators" training class. But you can also view and/or print it out yourself at our website.

*PeopleSoft training and support now available*

The IT Department is offering a series of PeopleSoft Financial and HR training sessions and open labs. This email provides information on the types of events, when they are scheduled, and where to sign up.

Our August/September PeopleSoft Training Calendar is available online at http://www.sandi.net/peoplesoft - click on Training.

You can register for classes by using our online scheduling application. You can access the application by visiting the training page described above and entering your employee ID and password on the right side of the screen. Directions for using the online scheduling application are available at the login screen.

OPEN LAB SESSIONS
Anyone who has received PeopleSoft training is welcome to come to the Open Lab to practice what you've learned about Time and Labor, PAR Processing, Expenses, Mileage and eProcurement. DWA staff will be available to assist and answer questions, according to the schedule below. Seating at the Open Lab is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Here are the August and September Open Lab Posters that can be printed and posted at your site.

Where: Roosevelt Middle School, Bungalow B2 for HR and B3 for Financial located at 3366 Park Blvd.

When: on the following days:
· Friday, August 25, 2006 (9:00am-3:00pm)
· Friday, September 8, 2006 (9:00am-3:00pm)
· Friday, September 22, 2006 (9:00am-3:00pm)

*Attention* The gates at Roosevelt are locked. You must park on the street and enter through the gate by the main office. DO NOT park on campus. Thank you for your cooperation.

*REMINDER FROM INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY*

Information Technology (IT) is conducting maintenance on the PeopleSoft HCM database beginning at 2 p.m. today, August 18, until 6 a.m. on Monday, August 21. The HR system will be unavailable during this maintenance. All Self Service, PAR, Time and Labor and core HCM modules work should be completed by 2 p.m. today.

Employees are encouraged to clear their computer’s cache by the end of today. For information, see the "Clearing Your Cache" job aid posted at http://www.sandi.net/peoplesoft/readandlearn/jobaids/.
